New Widget To Let Comic Stores Show Off Upcoming Comics Goes Live

At the Diamond Retailer Lunch at San Diego Comic Con, attending retailers were told about a new widget that Diamond was making available, allowing them to use Diamond's resources to place information about upcoming comics, direct on the retailer's website.

The widget generates a web page of titles with graphics for the current on-sale week, and allows them to display up to three weeks of previous releases for reference. Retailers can select what is displayed on the web page by utilizing the Edit Items function — which shows a complete list of titles and items for the selected week – and using a slider to flag each title or item with a "Yes" or "No".

Retailers can also elect to display up to five columns of items, along with site colors, and can preview what they will look like onscreen. They can also prevent Mature Readers (MR) items from being displayed by utilizing a convenient checkbox. (The Mature Readers option is the default option for the widget, and is automatically checked.)

It's just gone live. Here's the full video showing what retailers can do…
