Advance Reorders Are Both Wicked And Divine

Greetings from the coal face of the direct comics market. Where retailers try to increase their orders of certain comics ahead of sale. Where supply and demand and most accurately reflected, where you can see which books are hot, where new orders are coming in and how retailers are reacting to new, unanticipated desire!

Bryan Lee O'Malley's variant cover for  The Wicked And The Divine pushed up advane reorders this week, but if the orders hadn't been split between covers, they would have topped the chart over the Red Hood And The Outlaws Bombshells cover variant, when it came to advance reorders. The new Image comic from Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie, on this basis, looks like it will be an advance sellout and I reckon we can expect an announcement to that effect shortly.

As well as the Bombshells, MPH #1 seems to have performed well enough to get retailers to up their numbers on the second issue. Original Sin is lifting interest as well, and Sex Criminals is still attracting new readers, it looks like it will be the unlikely hit comic of the year.

And for comics that have been already published… it's all about Saga!
