Who Wants To Be A Superhero? Tonatzin Mondragon Does… Again.

Do you remember Stan Lee's show, Who Wants To Be A Superhero? It was sort of the first real televised look at cosplayers… if the cosplayers believed they were really superheroes that is. Did you ever wonder what happened to the contestants on the show? For one particular contestant, Tonatzin Mondragon… it left her jonesing to don the gold spandex once more.

Who Wants To Be A Superhero?

The former Lemuria has created a new superheroine and has decided that since there aren't any female superhero movies out there, she is going to make her own. Before meeting Stan Lee, the actress had done a handful of TV and Movie work including roles in Bellyfruit and The Elephant's Egg. Now she wants help making her new movie – Lumin: The Golden Warrior Is Born.

On her kickstarter page, Tonatzin isn't trying to make the whole movie. She's just trying to raise $15,950 to make the trailer so she can then use it to gain financial backing. On the page she has included the script for the trailer and a brief synopsis of the story:

When a girl begins investigating an exotic medallion her birth mother left her, she never imagined it would lead to the legendary seven cities of gold. Nor her place in their discovery and possible destruction. She must fight for her life and for a people and power she never knew she had.

The rewards for backing the project range from a shout-twitter, a t-shirt, a calendar from an upcoming photo shoot, to a chance to be in the trailer and even an executive producer credit. The following photo was given as an example for the calendar.

So if you want to help Tonatzin make her trailer then go to her kickstarter page. And if you've forgotten her time on Who Wants To Be A Superhero? Then meet Lemuria:
