Swipe File: Jim Lee And Paolo Di Clement

On the left is Jim Lee's Batman. On The right is Paola Di Clement's Nathan Naver, a popular Italian comic book. It has caused quite the stir, but could the pose be a complete coincidence? Possibly, but Paola has form in this regard.

Sergio Bonelli Editore usually asks its pencillers to draw pin ups for the Italian comic conventions. The publisher prints a bunch of copies and hand them out to visitors who can then get them signed by the creators at the publisher booth.

So they asked Paola Di Clement to draw one for visitors to Mantova Comics and Games. Jim Lee's Batman is on the left, Paola's contribution is on the right.

When pointed out, the poster was hurriedly withdrawn…
