Apple Announces Details for Apple TV+, New Trailer for Jason Momoa’s Show “See”

We are moving into the new model of TV as Apple announced the details of their Apple TV+ streaming platform. It seems that everyone is creating their own streaming platform these days which is going to get very expensive for the average consumer very quickly. Apple laid out the details for the new streaming service [via Deadline] for their new streaming service as they announced a $4.99 per month price point. That is reasonable but at the moment even that $5 could hurt people if we’re talking about someone who already has Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime not to mention networks like HBO. The service is set to roll out November 1st and Apple announced that customers that buy an iPhone, iMac or Apple TV will get one year of AppleTV+ for free. Tim Cook also announced that the service will launch with an original series and drop a new one each month.

“Our mission is to bring you the most compelling stories from the best minds in TV and film,” Cook said.

Apple TV+ Preview — Coming Fall 2019

The presentation also dropped a full trailer for one of the Apple TV+ original series See starring Jason Momoa.

The question becomes whether or not the original programming is good enough to justify yet another streaming service. Until then it’s very much up in the air whether or not Apple TV+ will be worth it even to the die-hard Apple fans out there.
