Coffin Bound #1 Sells Out and Gets a Second Printing Before First Print is in Comic Stores

Bleeding Cool ran a run through of Coffin Bound #1, the launch issue of a new ongoing series by Dan Watters (Limbo, Lucifer) and Dani (2000AD, Girl with No Name) with colorist Brad Simpson (Jesusfreak, MCMLXXV), letterer Aditya Bidikar, and designer Emma Price. Being described the "new Sandman", we suggested it may not have been ordered in sufficiently high numbers by comic stores, especially considering it was fully returnable to Image Comics.

It seems reality agreed. And now, before the first isssue is published tomorrow, it has sold out at distribution level and has gone to a second printing.

Cars! Guns! Entropy! Coffin Bound follows Izzy Tyburn, who is chased by an unstoppable killer and has decided that if the world won't have her in it, it can have nothing of her at all. She's re-treading her life, leaving nothing but burned rubber, ash, and the sun-scorched bones of those who get in her way.

Ride shotgun on an unforgettable road trip through blood-splattered, grindhouse action best described as Bitch Planet and Mad Max: Fury Road set in the dark, twisted fantasy world of Sandman.

Auto Draft

Coffin Bound #1 second printing (Diamond Code JUN198336) is in stores on Wednesday, August 28. The final order cutoff deadline for retailers is Monday, August 12.

Coffin Bound #2 (Diamond Code JUL190117) is in stores on Wednesday, September 11. The final order cutoff deadline for retailers is Monday, August 19.
