Batman DZNR Chibi YuMe Plush Available Now at Walmart

Batman fans will want to keep their eyes peeled to Walmart’s online store, as they have a line of chibi plush Caped Crusader’s available from YuMe. The DZNR (pronounced Designer) line of plush come in collector boxes and feature cool designs celebrating The Dark Knight’s 80th anniversary this year. Each features artwork on the plush itself celebrating Batman and all the various heroes and villains in his orbit. Some of the designs will focus on The Dark Knight, a camo version, a modern age artwork version, a Detective Comics version exclusive to Walmart, and more. Gamestop will have a Jim Lee version, and SDCC will have a Golden Age version and a Joker version. You can order some of them for yourself each week in July right here.

They were nice enough to send us over the Jim Lee Gamestop exclusive and the Golden Age SDCC exclusive to show you guys and gals as well. The box features the 80th anniversary logo, a giant window box package that shows off the plush, and on the back the slogan “Long Live the Bat” and a description of the design. Really cool stuff, and I didn’t really want to open them. Luckily, it is possible to get them back in the box, as that is great, since they display so well in them.

First we will look at the SDCC exclusive Golden Age Batman. Right away you can see how nifty a job they did on these. They stand really well, and at 7 inches these are not small. The stitching work is perfect, and the stuffing is evenly distributed throughout helping the plush keep its shape. There is so much going on here, but I love the sound effects all over the place, and the iconic Batman swinging Detective Comics #27 art right in the front of the cowl. Very cool.

Switching over to the Gamestop Jim Lee one, I have to point out how cool it is that the cape can lift and stay in place. That is a neat little touch. The plush is the exact same body wise, the difference in each is the artwork. Quite a bit of this art is from Hush, but really what other story would you take Jim Lee Batman art from? My favorite piece on this one is the back, with Batman and Catwoman kissing on the cape, and the giant Joker on the cowl. Awesome stuff again.

My thanks to YuMe and Maxx for sending these over. For $14.99, these are sweet, unique collectibles for casual and hardcore Batman fans. Again, these two are exclusives, but you can order many more of them here.
