Activision's Next Call of Duty Game Is Called… Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare (Yes, Really)

Activision has apparently run out of names for Call of Duty games as online reports of the latest game say they have gone with an older title for the next one. The news for the name came from Kotaku's Jason Schreier, who took to Twitter to confirm a leak about the new title as the next game will be called… Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare. No, that's not a typo or us screwing up the story, the company is apparently just going to reuse the original 2007 name for the Infinity Ward series.

If this news is true, and by all acounts, it seems to be confirmed at this point, that would be our early reports about the game essentially being a reboot of the series would probably be true as well. It's an interesting move but it does make us wonder what Activision's long-term goal is with the game and the series as a whole if they're simply going to reboot the series and apparently act like the previous three don't mean anything now. We're also a bit curious how you feel about it. What do you think of the new Call Of Duty title?
