New Warriors' TV Writer Emily Lerner Pens Lady Hellbender Origin for Venom Annual
Emily Lerner mostly works as a script co-ordinator and writing assistant on TV shows such as Mrs Fletcher, The Kids Are Alright, The Real O'Neals, Big Time Rush and the like. But she's also been a script co-ordinator and writer on the unseen New Warriors TV show created by showrunner Kevin Biegel, starring Milana Vayntrub as Doreen Green/Squirrel Girl, Derek Theler as Craig Hollis/Mister Immortal, as well as Jeremy Tardy, Calum Worthy, Matthew Moy and Kate Comer. Commissioned for Freeform it was dropped before airing and still seeks a home.
Well, Emily Lerner may have found a new home for herself. With a history in the comics industry as an associate editor for licensed publishing at DC Comics ten years ago, Marvel have just updated comic book retailers with the news that the upcoming Venom Annual #1 will be co-written by Emily Lerner as well as the previously solicited Ryan Cady.
Emily spelled it out a little more clearly,
So a Lady Hellbender origin story, written by Emily and drawn by Victor Ibanez… maybe Marvel will add him to the list of credits nezt week?
