How Damaged is Your Copy of Naomi #5?

A lot of retailers went large on Naomi #5 by Brian Bendis, David Walker and Jamal Campbell published by DC Comics. It was the big reveal issue, honest this time, and while issue #4 which had a little reveal caught everyone by surprise, people were prepared for issue 5 – and it delivered. You knew who Naomi was, who her parents were, what they were, where they were from, who her foster parents were, where they were from and what Naomi's place in all this was, and opening all sorts of possibilities up for the future, not just for Naomi but for the rest of the DC Comics Universe.

But even though retailers were somewhat prepared for what was to come and had upped their orders in anticipation, it's suddenly very hard to find a copy. Because there seems to have been widespread printing damage, with folded over pages and creases across much of the line. Many have sent their order back to be replaced.

Can Anyone Find an Undamaged Naomi #5?

If that is at all possible right now.

And as a result, people are even listing copies on eBay going out of their way to say whether it is damaged or not. One seller has sold over one-hundred-and-thirty copies at almost twice the cover price, plus shipping, by being that specific…

How is your copy looking? DC Comics has told retailers that they will receive replacement copies at no cost to retailers who reported damages to arrive in stores on June 6th. Might be worth checking?
