Remembering When Grumpy Cat Went to New York Comic Con

Grumpy Cat has died, aged seven, this Tuesday past.  The cat from Arizona, whose real name was Tardar Sauce, died after complications arose from a urinary tract infection. She gained internet fame six years ago, after her owner posted a photo to Reddit, captioned "Meet grumpy cat."

Her star may have faded a little of later, but in typical fashion, dozens of copies of Grumpy Cat's licensed comic book for Dynamite Entertainment are suddenly selling on eBay, when you would be lucky to sell one or two a week usually. So, you know, there's that.

So in memory, this is what we ran in 2015 when Grumpy Cat made her first appearance at New York Comic Con, courtesy of Dynamite Entertainment, in an article we dubbed Grumpy Cat Wows For Dynamite As New York Comic Con Turns Into A Pagan Festival Of Worship.

But Dynamite has a new comic book out this week. Grumpy Cat. Which meant a certain feline made her NYCC debut…

…and the crowds lost their minds. Hannah and I were on point to watch this pagan festival of animal worship take place…
