Today Is #XMenDay in Comic Stores Across The World – With Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Chris Claremont

Today, tickets for X-Men: Dark Phoenix go on sale and across the world a number of comic stores, pop-ups and cinemas are running X-Men Day – with signings from the movies and comics, exclusive poster giveaways, cosplay, booze and plenty of other attractions.

Here's a few that are going down, in the USA, Canada, Bolivia, Uganda and Italy –  let us know if we have missed any. The film will also launch exclusively in IMAX theatres nationwide with early showtimes beginning at 6pm on June 6th – all fans attending that show will receive a special Dark Phoenix commemorative gold keychain.

USA:

Golden Apple Comics, Los Angeles, California, Noon-3pm

• Free Limited Edition Poster signing with Alexandra Shipp aka "STORM" and Kodi Smit-McPhee aka "NIGHTCRAWLER" from 12:30-1:30pm only.The first 100 fans that show up to Golden Apple at 11am will get line passes. 1 pass per person. 1 poster per person.
• Cosplayers in uniform
• Free themed food
• X-Men Bar with festive drinks for adults 21 and over only.

Brave New Worlds – Old City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 6-9pm

• 93.3 WMMR'S Casey Foster,
• Free X shaped Philadelphia Soft Pretzels,
• Rita's special Dark Phoenix inspired water ice
• Samples of Boulevard Brewing Company's Space Camp beer

TATE'S Comics, Lauderhill, Florida 5-8pm

• Free milkshakes, burgers, tots, and special "X-Men Day" Tees for the first 100 people as well as advance screening passes to see "Dark Phoenix"
• Those that come in their favorite X-Men/Superhero costumes will be automatically entered to win one of (3) Florida Supercon 4-day full weekend passes, "Dark Phoenix" Pop! Funkos, $50 Gift Cards, and an autographed movie poster from "X-Men: First Class."
• Dark Phoenix photo booth – red carpet photo-ops with our very own Dark Phoenix (and free beer tasting too!) The beer will be tastings and for those 21 and older ID WILL BE REQUIRED.

 Samurai Comics, Phoenix, Arizona 5-8pm

• The first 100 people in attendance will get an EXCLUSIVE Dark Phoenix character poster & prize pack, and a free themed cupcake from Julia's cookies
• Take your photo on the red carpet with Comicare cosplayers!
• Come in an X-MEN costume and be entered to win very cool prizes! Restrictions apply.
• Free food from Boca Taqueria (while supplies last!)
• Power 98.3 and Tino Cochino will be on site playing cool tunes and hosting trivia!
• Jeff Pina will be doing an original art lesson and contest!
• Boulevard Brewing Company will be onsite with free swag promoting their Space Camper Cosmic IPA!

Dr Comics & Mr Games, Oakland, California 6-9pm

• First 100 guests have an opportunity to pick up a special prize package filled with exclusive merchandise
• Live DJ
• Food truck
• Exclusive poster
• Sketch artist in store
• Cosplayers Roxanna Meta as Magik and Made By Maihien as Mystique
• Costume contest

 Boulevard Brewing Co. Tours & Rec Center, in Kansas City, Missouri, USA 4-7pm

• Pop-up comic book shop hosted by Elite Comics
• Enjoy samples, specials & snacks in our Beer Hall
• Best dressed cosplay will win a private screening of Dark Phoenix
• Giveaways and prizes throughout the night
• VR gaming with Flipswitch
• Planet Comicon Kansas City will be on hand providing some cool swag, cosplayers, and a chance to win passes to the 2020 show

Mile High Comics, Denver, Colorado, 4-7pm

• Food truck, photo booth, themed treats, photo opportunities, free promo items, including exclusive character posters

Fantom Comics, Washington, District of Columbia. 5-8pm

• Cosplay with prizes, photo op area, beer promo and X-Men trivia to win prizes  at Pizza Paradiso
• Exclusive character poster, limited quantity of 500

Forbidden Planet, New York, 6-8pm

• Chris Claremont signing
• First 100 people get a limited edition poster
• Prizes, snacks, cosplay prizes Fans who dress up as their favorite X-MEN character and attend event are eligible for additional prizes.

My Parents Basement, Avondale Estates, Georgia

• Um… no idea.

MaximuM Comics 2.0, Henderson, Nevada

• Ditto. Probably similar though.

Canada

Silver Snail Comics in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, 2-6pm.

• Edge 102.1's Kolter and Meredith hosting
• first 100 people through door get a poster unavailable anywhere else.
• Prizes for best mutant cosplay.
• Black Canary serving Dark Phoenix latte.
• First 50 people to take a picture with the Dark Phoenix stand using a Snap Chat filter and post it using the hashtags #xmenday and #darkphoenix receive advanced screening tickets.

Uganda
