Building Trains With Railroad Corporation at PAX East 2019

Sometimes you get a game where you just get to be a kid again, like when we tried out Railroad Corporation from Iceberg Interactive at PAX East. Developed by Corbie Games, this is exactly what you might think it is and more as you’re essentially a railroad baron of sorts who is putting together a network of trains to connect towns across this great country. You’re essentially playing during the rise of the steam engine in the 19th Century and it’s your job to create the best railroad company around while competing against other railroad tycoons. As you connect towns, they grow and produce industry which requires more trains and resources to transport things around and bring people closer together, so the job is almost never-ending.

We got to play a short demo of the game and had a lot of fun just building lines across vast spaces and even making bridges and tunnels to areas you couldn’t reach before. But we didn’t get too far in-depth over the game as this was just a demo and we only had about 15 minutes to mess around with it. But I really enjoyed playing Railroad Corporation as it felt like I was a kid playing with train sets again. I look forward to playing it on PC when they finally release it sometime in the Summer of 2019.
