Word has gotten out today that BioWare, the developers of Anthem and Mass Effect Andromeda, had a company-wide meeting to discuss several issues. The news came on Twitter from Kotaku’s own Jason Schreier, who has a damn good track record of breaking events like this, who wrote that the company had an “all-hands meeting” on Wednesday to address a number of issues both within the company itself and externally. Apparently, the entire meeting left the staff with mixed feelings as a few talked with Schreier off-record following the event.
BioWare held a long all-hands meeting for staff on Wednesday to talk about various issues raised both internally and in Kotaku's reporting (production practices, Frostbite, etc). Couple of people I've talked to are optimistic about changes; others are far more skeptical.

Schreier has been paying close attention to what’s been going on with BioWare, even penning a piece for the outlet about how the company was fully aware of what went wrong with Anthem long before the game was even released. Just a decade ago this company was on top of the world and appeared they could do no wrong with games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect under their belt. Not to mention titles people seem to constantly praise like Jade Empire and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Now it appears the company knows it needs to turn things around and make some adjustments after having a new major IP suffer in the public eye. It will be interesting to see if anyone gave Schreier full details of the meeting to know exactly what was discussed.
