Marvel Ch-Ch-Changes to Asgardians Of The Galaxy, Spider-Man, Champions and Unstoppable Wasp

Man, Asgardians of the Galaxy has been through a lot of art changes. Written by Cullen Bunn with the artist announced as Matteo Lolli. But Lolli got two issues in before things started to change.

Asgardians of the Galaxy #3 was solicited by him, Mike Del Mundo and more – the ‘more’ turned out to be Andre Araujo and Jill Thompson.

Asgardians of the Galaxy #4 was solicited by Lolli and Natacha Bustos but was then joined by Luca Maresca.

Asgardians of the Galaxy #5 was solicited by Lolli and Stephanie Hans. But was joined by Luca Maresca again.

We reported that Lolli was still solicited to draw Asgardians of the Galaxy #6, with Matteo Buffagni of Avengers Assemble and Daken: Dark Wolverine, taking over the title with #7. That has now changed and Buffagni joined early with issue 6, replacing Lolli on that issue too.

But issue 8 was solicited with Lolli. And, remarkably it still is. But issue 9, which was also solicited with Lolli – is not. Instead Asgardians of the Galaxy #9 will be drawn by Paolo Villanelli instead.

Which means that of the first 9 issues, the lead artist will have drawn about four issues in total.  That’s if indeed he is drawing #8…

In other changes, Champions #5 will have art by Juanan Ramirez instead of the previously solicited Steven Cummings.

Doctor Strange will be getting Barry Kitson as a co-writer to Mark Waid earlier thn suggested, jumping on with #13.

Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man #6 will be drawn by Juan Cabal instead of the previously solicited Yildiray Cinar.

Unstoppable Wasp #8 will be drawn by Gurihiru instead of the previously solicited Alti Firmansyah.
