Junky Comics Closes in Australia

The Facebook page of Junky Comics of Brisbane in Queensland, gave out the bad news. But there is a silver lining as well.

Heya pals! 👋🏽
With a heavy heart we are closing up shop at our beloved 93 Vulture Street. Its been a wonderful 4 years but sadly, due to finances we can't keep it going anymore :(
There is a wonderful silver lining however, we have been invited to be a part of a shared collective space in West End so this isn't the end of Junky!
We will still be putting on events and will continue to support all the wonderful artists in Brissy that want to put on shows, exhibit and sell their work!
We wanted to send off our lil home of 4 years in style so on Friday the 22nd we will have our last day of trade!
We will have some limited edition Junky merch for sale and some refreshing bevs! 💕🍾

And just after they'd got new store merchandise in as well…

Bleeding Cool tries to mark the passing of comics stores as well as their opening. Existing fanbases are likely to make the former more well known, but please let us know if a comic store is opening or closing in your neighbourhood. Just e-mail richjohnston@bleedingcool.com.
