The Emmy-nominated writer, director, executive producer will be helming Reminiscence, a Black List script that will feature Jackman as a private eye who deals in recapturing vivid cherished memories for clients, one of which will be a "highly vexing" Ferguson. This will be the pair's second time working together, having co-stared in The Greatest Showman musical.

Reminiscence is set in a slightly futuristic Miami, which has been effected by global warming- i.e. as Deadline reports, "much of the city submerged under water".

Joy's Westworld co-creator (and husband) Jonathan Nolan will produce, along with Michael De Luca and Aaron Ryder, making Reminiscence a joint effort with Kilter Films, Michael De Luca Productions and FilmNation Entertainment.

Ferguson was recently confirmed to be playing The Lady Jessica in Denis Villeneuve's upcoming Dune reboot for Legendary Pictures, and Jackman was most recently seen as Gary Hart in The Front Runner.

Cameras are set to start rolling in October of 2019, so Joy and Nolan can finish working on season 3 of HBO's Westworld.  We're expecting to hear more about the project next week, while it gets shopped around European Film Market (EFM) in Berlin.
