ComiXology Bestseller List, 1st February 2019 – Heroes In Crisis #5 Takes the 5th Week

Welcome to the ComiXology Bestseller list, your guide to see how well your favorite titles are selling digitally. Every week I'll post the ranking of every new title, plus a ranking of the best selling volumes & graphic novels. As always, I hope you find it interesting and informative.

I was hoping to take it easy this week, seeing how this was a 5th Wednesday, but no. Because since almost everyone took Boxing Day off, everyone is now trying to make up for it this week. As a result, DC not only has a full slate of comics but the usual 5th Wednesday annuals. With those reinforcements, DC easily wins the Top 10 this week, beating Marvel 7-3. Heroes in Crisis won the crown yet again, and unless it goes up against The Walking Dead or Doomsday Clock, it'll most likely finish its 9-issue run undefeated.

The Big 2 should be happy, because most of their books this week are holding their positions very well, with one noticeable exception: The Terrifics. The best selling New Age of Heroes title may join its fallen comrades if it keeps on this downward trajectory. It has a 6-spot dip compared to earlier this month, and while I admit it's up against stiffer competition this week, this isn't its first slide. If you remember, it debuted at No. 2 last year, an incredible achievement for any new title. It started sinking soon after. And while it stabilized for a quite a few months after dropping out of the Top 10, it's in a nosedive again. And writer Jeff Lemire hasn't even left yet (#14 will be his last issue). This could get ugly.

Anyways, have a great Super Bowl Sunday everybody. While my official prediction is a 33-31 Patriots victory, I will be rooting for the Rams, mostly because I am terrified of what will happen when Tom Brady snaps his fingers after getting six Super Bowl rings.
