Nudity Removal Demands for DC Comics' Second Coming

After a certain panel in Batman: Damned hit The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, DC Comics went into a bit of a censorious meltdown fuelled by the fury of a DC President who had all but had Batman's penis placed on her desk on her first day.

It's also why you haven't seen any more new Black Label projects solicited, even though many of them are overdue. But this censorial zeal has extended to other books, with no one wanting to scare the horses right now.

Second Coming is a comic book that has attracted a lot of media attention right now, as it has Jesus Christ rooming with a Superman-type. It's a light breezy comedy, which shouldn't offend anyone unless they really want to be offended, but Bleeding Cool was told that there were editorial demands to remove the nudity from the pages.

I checked in with author Mark Russell, who has been asked if all this media fuss will affect anything with the comi at DC.

Look at that – editorial demands to remove nudity from a comic that the creative team were always going to cover up in a traditional style… aren't they just the sweetest?
