Jac Schaeffer, One of the Writers for Captain Marvel, to Executive Produce the Vision and Scarlet Witch Series

Another one of the Marvel Disney+ series is starting to come together. The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Jac Schaeffer, one of the writers for Captain Marvel, will serve as a writer and showrunner for the Vision and Scarlet Witch TV series. According to sources she will write the pilot of the series and serve as executive producer for the show. This is one of three Marvel TV shows that are heading straight for the Disney+ streaming service. The other two are a Loki series and a series about the Winter Soldier and Falcon.

At the moment we don't have any other details about the series aside from the fact that Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany are expected to return to the roles for the series. The Vision and Scarlet Witch are one of the comics most enduring romantic pairings and they were very much supposed to be the heart of Avengers: Infinity War. How much of their comic history, which gets very weird, is going to be in the show is unknown.

This is the third time Schaeffer has collaborated with Marvel since she also wrote for the script for the upcoming Black Widow solo movie which is due to start shooting later this year. The Disney+ streaming service is set to drop later in 2019 as well.

Summary: Carol Danvers becomes one of the universe's most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.

Captain Marvel, directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, will also star Brie Larson, Jude Law, Gemma Chan, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Samuel L. Jackson. The film is set for release on March 8th, 2019.
