FX Releases Teaser for Upcoming 'Fosse/Verdon' Miniseries

During the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night, we finally got our first tease of the upcoming FX miniseries Fosse/Verdon.

Starring Oscar winner Sam Rockwell as the legendary Bob Fosse, and 4-time Oscar nominee Michelle Williams as Gwen Verdon, the miniseries will explore the onstage and offstage relationship between the two, which through highs and lows included working on such shows that defined their legendary careers- you know, like "Chicago".

Lin-Manuel Miranda is executive producing alongside Rockwell and Williams, as well as Thomas Kail (who is also directing the pilot), George Stelzner, Joel Fields, Steven Levenson (who wrote the pilot and will serve as showrunner), as well as Fosse and Verdon's daughter Nicole Fosse.

Andy Blankenbuehler is set to choreograph along with Susan Misner, who will also appear as Joan McCracken. Alex Lacamoire will serve as supervising music producer.

Kelli Barrett will appear as Liza Minnelli, Bianca Marroquin as Chita Rivera, Norbert Leo Butz as Paddy Chayefsky, Ethan Slater as Joel Grey, and Laura Osnes as Shirley MacLaine.

Bob Fosse is a visionary filmmaker and one of theater's most influential choreographers and directors. Gwen Verdon is the greatest Broadway dancer of all time. Fosse/Verdon will tell the story of these two brilliant, complicated individuals – the love they shared, the art they created, and the price they paid in the pursuit of greatness.

We'll let you know as soon as FX announces a release date for Fosse/Verdon.
