DC Comics Confirms Eric Esquivel Dropped From Nightwing, But Will Be Listed In Previews

Two days ago, Bleeding Cool reported that Eric M Esquivel had been lined up to co-write Nightwing #58 with Scott Lobdell for March 2019, ahead of him taking over the book at the end of Lobdell's run, in which Dick Grayson is suffering from amnesia and going by the name Ric Grayson.

After DC Comics/Vertigo cancelled Border Town in mid-publication, after allegations about Esquivel were brought to light, Bleeding Cool presumed that the Nightwing plans might change, and we were later told that this had actually happened.

Well now DC Comics have made it official, telling retailers;

Please note that Nightwing #58, soliciting in the January DC Previews, will no longer be co-written by Eric M. Esquivel. Watch for an announcement of the updated writing credits coming soon.

But also confirming that this is the listing that will appear in the already-printed Diamond Previews.
