Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe Gets Yet Another Printing at Marvel Comics

Marvel Comics had never quite had the trade paperback sales enjoyed by DC Comics. Hell, in the year 2000, they did everything they could to actively push down trade paperback sales in the belief they were harming the sales of single issues.

But that was then. And these days, one of their best sellers is a surprising volume – Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe. Published as a spinoff mini-series, written by Cullen Bunn with art by Dalibor Talajic and covers by Kaare Andrews, it is a reprise of the Garth Ennis and Doug Braithwaite volume The Punisher Kills The Marvel Universe.

What if everything you thought was funny about Deadpool was actually just disturbing? What if he decided to kill everyone and everything that makes up the Marvel Universe? What if he actually pulled it off? Would that be FUN for you? The Merc with a Mouth takes a turn for the twisted in a horror comic like no other!

It did okay as a series. But when it went into collection, it sold and sold and sold. Marvel UK tell me it is their best-selling volume of all time. No wonder they commissioned the team to create Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe Again more recently…

And it's gone back to yet another printing, coming to stores soon, with a few of its friends…
