Thank FOC It's Friday #5 – There's No Party Like a Conan Party

Welcome to Thank FOC It's Friday, a weekly mailing list, similar to The Daily LITG, but every Friday and planned to coincide and cover the demands of Final Order Cut Off. The date when retailers have a last chance to amend their advance orders for comic books without penalty. A last chance for publishers to promote books while orders can still be added. And a time for credits to be amends, new covers to be revealed and a final push given. This is an attempt to sift through them all and find the most relevant items.

You can sign up here or with the form at the bottom.

This week, Lion Forge laid off twelve, Miles Morales may be getting political for Marvel, the Russians leaked Doomsday Clock #8, we got a look at the Stan Lee Tribute covers from Marvel who promised they wouldn't spoil Extermination with Exterminated, launched a new Meet The Skrulls book, as Iron Man got later, Mike Richardson popped up in Call Of Duty, while Richard Branson disappeared from Transformers, and Drowned Earth led right into Kelly Sue's Aquaman arc. DC cancelled the Kyle Rayner collections, and DC Nation but discounted Zoom and Ink books for you. Oh and people are collecting comic book cocktail menus now and God is funding comic book publishers. Could Lion Forge get a little of that action?

Oh and you found out what comics you'll have to keep in storage until the day after Christmas. So what's looking good for Final Order Cut Off?

Dark Horse has a Zootopia Family Night hardcover worth checking – out in March but FOCing now. Same with the Dragon Age and Mata Hari hardcovers. She Could Fly is late February but also worth a look. And Stranger Things #4 to ring in the New Year, like you could forget that…

For DC, Valentine's Day collections are rolling out again, and do check that Josh Middleton Batgirl variant. Oh and it's Heroes In Crisis # time. Harley wielding the mallet she killed Wally West with. Will it stick? It's also FOC cut off time for the  DC LED Frame) with interchangeable insert art.

IDW has a new Avengers #1 from its kids line. Marvel is also FOCing a Spider-Verse Miles Morales kids title to sit alongside IDW's own. Oh and the IDW's Backlist Retailer Sale ends today. And a FOC cover on Duck Tales #17.

Over at Image Comics, Middlewest #1 is getting a second printing – how did it do for you? How about that Redneck wedding – did that grab more eyeballs? We may run something on that over the weekend…  FOC cover for Outpost Zero #5 Virgin variant

Marvel is relaunching Champions (again) but this is also the day to confirm your Conan orders. How will a Marvel publication affect demand for the barbarian, especially with Jason Aaron and Mahmud Asrar on the title? The Party Launch orders are FOCing this week too. Get everyone to show up to the store in loincloths maybe? Don't forget those Conan bookmarks… There's the new Man Without Fear weekly-fill-in-mini-series launching too.

This is also the FOC date for the comic book that no one knows anything about, Infinity issue infinity. Don't look at me, I haven't a clue. Yet. There's also the Obi-Wan comic, and the getting-later Tony Stark: Iron Man #7 to… readjust.

Oh and the Claremont/Jim Lee Uncanny X-Men 3D reprint, with visors shaped like Cyclops' glasses. Well I want one. The Wolverine: Long Night Adaptation is a hard one – the comic based on the radio drama based on the comic character. But also a Wolverine number one. Good luck with that…

Boom has some FOC Buffy The Vampire Slayer covers as well as one for Adventure Time Season 11… if you suint,
