Detective Comics #1000 Will Feature Jock, Scott Snyder, Tom King, Greg Capullo and Jason Fabok – and Set Up The Three Jokers

Detective Comics #1000 is coming next year for Batman's 80th anniversary. Just as Action Comics #1000 featured Batman creators old, new and future, so Detective Comics #1000 will also feature a bevvy of current and past creators with an eye towards what comes next.

And at Toronto Fan Expo, we got the word that creators on the book will include;

Scott Snyder – who launched the New 52 Batman series to extraordinary success.

Jock – with whom Snyder first worked on Batman, and who is now working with Scott on The Batman Who Laughs.

Greg Capullo – with whom Snyder had his most successful run on the character and with whom he is creating his final Batman story, The Last Knight On Earth.

Tom King, the current writer on Batman, including the recent not-a-marriage of Batman #50

And Jason Fabok, who worked on the DC Rebirth version of the character, and is currently working on the upcoming Black Label series The Three Jokers. Expect Detective Comics #1000 to feed into that series, as Action Comics #1000 fed into Brian Bendis' new run.

Possibly even The Batman Who Laughs and The Last Knight On Earth for that matter.

Plenty more to come, of course. But these were the first creators named…
