Currently actor Evangeline Lilly, star of Ant-Man and The Wasp, is in Japan on a press tour for the film. She is meant to be attending the Amazing Aloha Comic Con in Honolulu, Hawaii today, in the middle of Hurricane Lane. Reportedly she is unsure how she is meant to attend given official advice not to travel, but the show is still confirming her attendance.
Yesterday we reported concern from the fan community over the show, alongside reassuring words from the show itself. At that point only Joelle Jones and Asher Angel had pulled out, but now Marv Wolfman and Skottie Young have done the same.
Sorry. I won’t be there. My family and I flew to Phoenix and started seeing the news of the hurricane. Unfortunately, we chose to be safe and not take the risk and flew back home. Fingers crossed it passes and everyone stays safe.

It is with sadness and great disappointment that I write to advise of my absence from @AmazingComicCon Aloha this weekend due to Hurricane Lane. My thoughts and prayers are with all those in the path of the storm.

The show has sold a large number of attendance packages specifically around the appearance of Lilly and Young, and reportedly the show is offering credit to those who bought such packages, but not refunds. The show website still lists Lilly, Angel, Young, and Wolfman as attending.
Some are already there, of course…
I’m here on Oahu, so I’m planning on it! Hopefully this storm passes quick! https://t.co/OOEQN3lH2C
