Ani Wild Arrives On Kickstarter

Archie Dait writes,

Ani Wild has arrived. She's ten, and has a special ability. She can turn into animals, and uses this new found power to go on family-friendly adventures with her step-brother Tim. Fun is at the heart of this all-ages comic, and I think that is something we all need in our lives: more lighthearted fun!

I began my comic-creating-journey editing successfully crowdfunded comics Queen and Start Again. It was a great experience and it got me itching to write something of my own. At the time I was writing something pretty dark and heavy about my experience with depression, so I wanted another release which was a far cry from anything negative.

Luckily, I found an artist, by chance, who shared my passion for creating something lighthearted. After talking about Ani Wild my friend P.S. Brooks, a worldwide published illustrator in his own right, asked to see the script. The rest is history!

My dream is that people of all-ages will enjoy Ani Wild, and it can be a story that is read to kids before bed or to help them improve their reading too. As an Auntie I've found it difficult to find comic-specific content for my nephew, and he loves comic characters. Not a day doesn't go by without him mentioning the Hulk or Spider-Man, but it's not exactly a good idea to read those stories to a five year old before bed!
