It pretty much goes without saying that if you weren’t at E3 in person, there’s a pretty good chance you were watching it live on someone’s feed. This year’s event was one of the most watched on the social streaming service, both for the company itself and several of its partnered streamers — who basically did live broadcasts from the event in several booths and at the Twitch VIP booth where broadcasters could jump in and talk with their stream live about what they had seen. Now that the event is over, Twitch is rolling out the numbers of how well they performed.
The company sent out this infographic earlier today, boasting about the records and milestones they set just be being in attendance at the major press conferences leading up to the event, as well as the three days they were in the South Hall on the E3 floor. Aside from showing off their major viewing numbers coming in from France, Canada, and the U.K., their total views and unique views were nearly doubled compared to last year’s event. Basically, the company did really well showing off a live event that people couldn’t get into. This makes us wonder how PAX West and Gamescom will do this year, along with if the company plans to expand their convention coverage moving forward.
