Aquaman and Action Comics #1 are coming to SDCC. Mattel has announced two exclusives they will have for sale at their booth. Both pay tribute to classic DC Comics covers. The first is a three figure set in the DC Multiverse line. Based on the Aquaman #35 cover, the set will include Aquaman, Ocean Master ,and Black Manta. The figures are in the six inch scale and feature multiple points of articulation. Aquaman will have a huge presence at SDCC this year. This exclusive, on top of the debut trailer for his upcoming solo film, will make this the year of Arthur Curry at the biggest convention of the year. Check out some pics below of the set both boxed and loose.

The second, and the one I am excited about, is this years Hot Wheels set. Helping to celebrate the 5oth anniversary of Hot Wheels is a set paying tribute to the most important comic of all-time. This Action Comics #1 set is made up to look like a graded copy of the book. Of course, the car inside the package is a die-cast version of the famous green sedan from the cover. Also inside is a die-cast figure of the man himself, in his debut costume.

The Aquaman set will run you $60, while the Hot Wheels Action Comics #1 set will cost $20. Both will be avialable at the Mattel booth, and as of this moment there is no announcement about if these will be for sale anywhere else outside of the convention. They should also have more announcements in the coming days. As they announce them, we will bring them to you.
