Destiny 2's Second Batch of DLC to be Revealed Tomorrow
Bungie is hosting a reveal stream tomorrow to showcase their Year 2 plans for Destiny 2, but ahead of the reveal, Bungie gave us our first look at the upcoming DLC packs for the sci-fi shooter. The developer tweeted a short teaser video that features fan-favorite Cayde-6 and a Guardian who arrive at a location which might appear familiar for long-time Destiny fans. It appears as if we'll be returning to the Reef in one of the upcoming DLCS. The Reef was the second social space added to the original game and is the home of the Awoken.
The full reveal stream will be hosted at 9am PT/ 12pm ET tomorrow, June 5th on Twitch.
The teaser also gives us a glimpse at the House of the Fallen banner and what could be a return of the six-shooter pistol The Last Word. The Houses of the Fallen were given quite a bit of screen time in the original Destiny expansion, House of Wolves, which also gave us The Reef as a social space. So this looks like we'll be returning to that storyline, which is one of the more interesting as far as Destiny stories go.
In the previous developer blog post, community manager DeeJ gave us some details on what to expect from tomorrow's stream:
You'll hear from many members of our development team, who will set some big goals for September in their own words. We'll explore deeper into new territory with Game Director Steve Cotton and Project Lead Scott Taylor—two faces that you might recognize from previous reveals. We'll respond to a bunch of community feedback and unveil some other things you haven't even been looking forward to… yet. We'll top it all off with a look at a new Roadmap with exciting new promises for everyone.
This will be the beginning of a conversation that will last all summer long. You won't want to miss it. We hope to see your names in chat as you give us your hot takes and spam those emotes.
