Finally a Major X-Men Plot from 2014 Is Resolved [X-Men: Blue #28 Spoilers]

Do you remember the Marvel event AXIS from 2014? I know, it seems hard to think of a time when a major Marvel event wasn’t forced to tie into whatever movie was out at the time. But four years ago, the good guys turned bad and the bad guys turned good. Well, some of them anyway. And then at the end, the good guys turned good again and the bad guys turned bad again. Well, most of them.

But three didn’t, as Iron Man shielded himself and two others from the reversal spell. Iron Man became the Superior Iron Man and eventually was fixed. Sabretooth had his moral axis turned on his head and started fighting for the cause in a much less barbaric way. He was still very Sabretooth-y, but his outlook was less selfish. And so he has remained (mostly) since.

And then there was Havok. Brother of Scott Summers, partner of Polaris, who has also remained unreverted. Who was horrifically facially scarred, stopped being an Uncanny Avengers leader and who in recent times has fallen in with the Brotherhood of Mutants, and with Emma Frost, the previous partner of his dead brother Scott Summers.

And finally, four years later, after more Brotherhoodness in X-Men Blue they finally get around to doing something about it. And it’s all down to Lorna…

…and a friend.

Re-inverting, Emma…

But just like that, he’s back. If haunted by who he has been… out today.
