Deadpool 2: Josh Brolin Talks his 4-Picture Deal as Cable

When it comes to comic book movies, there are almost always multi-picture deals and the stars of Deadpool 2 are no different. We already knew that Josh Brolin was going to be back as Cable in the upcoming X-Force but what we didn't know was that the star inked not a three but a four picture deal.

Brolin talked about whether or not he had any idea how it was going to pan out to Yahoo! Movies:

I don't know. I'll let you know at the end of the fourth one! Look, that was how it was presented to me. It's not something that I would have created. I like things that are finite. I think finite is good. I think wanting more is good. But, like I said, I had a confidence in Ryan creating things that were fresh. I liked the differences between the second one and the first one. I liked his ideas, I do like his ideas for X-Force, and who's going to come in and direct it, and who's going to write it with Ryan and with Rhett [Reese] and Paul [Wernick]. I have a lot of respect for Drew Goddard. So, listen man, I like new things. So I've done… I've been doing this 34 years, and this is something new for me, so why not? I wasn't looking for a 4-picture deal by the way.

Deadpool 2: Josh Brolin Talks his 4-Picture Deal as Cable

The X-Force movie is currently in the works at Fox and last we heard everything was moving along nicely for the production. We don't have a start date yet but maybe look for it landing in 2020 since there was a two year difference between Deadpool and Deadpool 2.

Summary(?): After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry's hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World's Best Lover.

Deadpool 2, directed by David Leitch, stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Josh Brolin, Brianna Hildebrand, and Zazie Beetz. It will be released on May 18th.
