Thanos Annual #1 is a Set Up to Cosmic Ghost Rider #1

Today's Thanos Annual #1 is bloody brilliant, with the Cosmic Ghost Rider, the future Frank Castle cursed by Mephisto, telling stories about many of the various actions of destruction and cruelty that Thanos enacts across the universe. And it's pretty brilliant to have this out the same week as Avengers: Infinity War comes out. If only they could get their act together and have people selling it in cinemas? No, that would make too much sense…

And so we get tales from Donny Cates, Geoff Shaw and Antonio Fabela, Chris Hastings, Flaviano and Federico Blee, Kieron Gillen, Andre Araujo and Chris O'Halloran, Katie Cook and Heather Breckle, Ryan North, Will Robson and Rachelle Rosenberg, and Al Ewing and Frazer Irving, each depicting a further cruelty… to be fair, far crueler than the Thanos of the movie who acts from a more altruistic means, albeit it with the same outcome.

But what we also get is an ending that seems designed to line up the upcoming Cosmic Ghost Rider spinoff series to follow on from the Thanos series by Donny Cates and Dylan Burnett.

Though you will have to wait until July…
