14 New Photos from Supergirl Season 3, Episode 17, ‘Trinity’

The CW has released 14 new images for the upcoming Supergirl season 3 episode ‘Trinity’. This is the 17th episode of the season and airs on May 7th, meaning we have on episode that airs next Monday before this one. There will be some spoilers below, so be warned.

Surprisingly there isn’t a lot to take away from these 14 images. We could tell from the synopsis that Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) knows that Lena (Katie McGrath) was trying to help Sam (Odette Annable) stop becoming Reign and that she kept it to herself and didn’t trust the DEO with the information. Here we see Lena at the DEO headquarters, verifying that much.

We also get another shot of Brainiac 5 (Jesse Rath) looking far more human than the last time we saw him. Curious why he spent all those years looking they way he did and now tries to be more human. Is it because he is around more human-looking people now, or is he trying to get someone’s attention?

The really interesting photos are the last two that look like Supergirl, Mon-El (Chris Wood) and Alex (Chyler Leigh) are inside Reign’s base of operations in the desert. There has been no announcement of who is playing Pestilence or a photo as of yet, and it’s believed we’ll get to see her for the first time next week. This may be the best secret the network has kept so far.

Here is the synopsis for ‘Trinity’:

Trinity
SUPERGIRL TAKES ON ALL THREE WORLDKILLERS — Still reeling after learning about Lena’s (Katie McGrath) secret, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) asks Guardian (Mehcad Brooks) for a favor that could alter his relationship with Lena forever. Meanwhile, with all three Worldkillers united, Supergirl and the team brace for an epic battle. Caitlin Parrish & Erica Weiss directed the episode with story by Jessica Queller and teleplay by Caitlin Parrish & Derek Simon (#317). Original airdate 5/7/2018.

Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
