E4 to Broadcast Gotham Season 4 in the UK – and Skip Season 3

Gotham, the Warner Bros TV show telling the story of Bruce Wayne and Gotham's earlier pre-Batman days has had an interesting time being broadcast in the UK. The first two seasons went semi-swimmingly, airing on little-watched Channel 5. But of season 3 there was no sign, eventually turning up on Netflix days after an exclusive-to-DVD/Blu Ray box set went on sale. And season 4, which has all but finished airing in the US, is now to be shown by even-littler-watched channel E4, further down the dial.

E4 to Broadcast Gotham Season 4 in the UK – and Skip Season 3Still, you know, that was the home of Misfits, Skins, Crazyhead and The Inbetweeners, and it used to show Smallville back in the day…

But for those waiting for a UK broadcast of Gotham season 3… no such luck I'm afraid.

Light up the Bat-Signal! Gotham series 4 is coming to E4 in April in a deal with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.

With a reputation synonymous with law and order, Commissioner James Gordon is one of the crime world's greatest foes. Everyone knows the name. But what is known of Gordon's rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? And what did it take to navigate the layers of corruption that secretly ruled Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world's most iconic villains – the larger-than-life personas who would become Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and Poison Ivy? Gotham is the origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes and the story continues on E4 as series 4 comes to the channel next month in a deal with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.

Season four of Gotham witnesses the emergence of the criminal landscape for which Gotham City is best known, with GCPD Detectives Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) at the forefront of the fight against the most depraved and unhinged villains – Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor); Edward Nygma/The Riddler (Cory Michael Smith), Barbara Kean (Erin Richards), Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas), as well as the future Catwoman, Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova). Also in the shadows this season are Butch Gilzean/Solomon Grundy (Drew Powell), Dr. Lee Thompkins (Morena Baccarin), and Sofia Falcone (Crystal Reed).

While Gotham City fights for normalcy, a new hero will rise. After completing his training with Ra's al Ghul (Alexander Siddig), a young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) begins to assume responsibility for the city's well-being. With the help of his ever-faithful butler Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) and quiet support of Lucius Fox (Chris Chalk), he will step into this role, all while building up his public persona of carefree socialite to avoid any suspicion among Gotham's citizens.

GOTHAM is based on the DC characters created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger and produced by Warner Bros. Television. Executive producer Bruno Heller (The Mentalist, Rome) developed the series and executive-produces with Emmy® nominee Danny Cannon (Nikita, the "CSI" franchise) and John Stephens (Gilmore Girls, Gossip Girl). The series is distributed internationally by Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.
