Cerebus to Bring Back the Teenage Mutant Ninja…

Cerebus, created by Dave Sim, made an early appearance in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics. He made an appearance in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #8 published by Mirage, where the Turtles teamed up with Cerebus to get the Time Scepter back from Savanti Romero. Dave Sim both drew Cerebus in that issue as well as writing and lettering the character.

There have been occasional references since — the story was remade for the cartoon series without Cerebus and at one point was redrawn without Cerebus, believing that Sim would decline permission for a reprint (he did not).

Right now, Cerebus has been revived as Cerebus In Hell, a collage product as Dave Sim is unable to draw anymore due to medical issues. And so previous poses of Cerebus are combined with images of Hell, creating new stories of the afterlife. And printed as a serious of issue ones, each with a new title.

Including one which may bring more note than others. Here's the checklist for the year…

Alongside many other comic book properties being references, we get Teenage Mutant Ninja Cerebi for July. A trip back to the Turtles?

Here's the latest issue being solicited for May.
