Sean Hannity is an American talk show host, author, and conservative political commentator. Host of The Sean Hannity Show, a nationally syndicated talk radio show, he also hosts a cable news show, Hannity, on Fox News. His three books. His Let Freedom Ring: Winning the War of Liberty over Liberalism, Deliver Us from Evil: Defeating Terrorism, Despotism, and Liberalism, and Conservative Victory: Defeating Obama’s Radical Agenda have all been New York Times Bestsellers.
Famously, he cast doubt on Barack Obama’s birthplace, promoted conspiracy theories about the murder of Seth Rich, and reporting false stories about Hillary Clinton’s health. He was an early supporter of Donald Trump.
And now, it seems. he is recognised as an enemy of the Justice League. Not a major one, admittedly, but in a conversation between Batman and the Green Lantern Jessica Cruz in tomorrow’s Justice League #38, we got this jokey exchange over their latest threat The Fan who wants to help the Justice League, with deadly consequences.
Peraxxus is a cosmic menace who destroys worlds and sells their resources as scraps. Using the ancient Signal Men abandoned by their masters, he determines which planets are ripe and obliterates them.
Back in the day, DC Comics would find ways not to use actual names when making such gags. These days? Not so much.
