Robert Downey Jr. Shares a Picture from the Avengers: Infinity War Set
Robert Downey Jr. has shared an image from what appears to be the set of Avengers: Infinity War. The actor is standing in front of the Avengers logo and says that he's here to "shoulder the MCU." The picture is tagged with several members of the cast that have official Instagram accounts, including Chadwick Boseman, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Elizabeth Olsen.
Aside from the first trailer, the promo art, and the teaser poster, we still haven't seen that much from Avengers: Infinity War. Disney is in an odd place where they have to try to keep their movies from cannibalizing each other. They still have Black Panther out next month, and they don't want to step on the marketing for that. It wouldn't be surprising if we don't see much from Infinity War until Black Panther comes out. Maybe we'll get out second trailer premiering the night Black Panther is released.
Summary: As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Avengers: Infinity War, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Chadwick Boseman, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, and Anthony Mackie. It will be released on May 4th, 2018.
