Buffy The Vampire Slayer Celebrates 20 Years With New Funko Pops

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and to help celebrate, Funko is releasing six new Sunnydale kids (and one not a kid) in Pop form. Kudos to them for making a wave without a store exclusive for a change — fans should appreciate not having to go all over the place to get them all.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer 20th Anniversary Funko Pops

The 20th anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is here
and to celebrate some characters are coming to Pop! vinyl.

This series features Buffy complete with bow, Xander,
Buffy's father figure Giles, and Faith.
Rounding out the series is Willow's alter-ego Dark Willow!

Look for the Xander chase piece!
Shown with eye patch, a rarity of 1-in-6!

Trust me: Spooky Kids are legion, and they will want them all. Dark Willow is the one I would want here, followed closely by Faith. The new Buffy sculpt with the crossbow looks pretty sweet. Even Giles looks cool, and I hate Giles. But boy, both versions of Xander are pretty boring. If someone handed me the regular one it would just look like a generic dude. For me both that and the eye-patch versions are skips.

The fact that the show is turning 20 is both cool and terrible at the same time. This show continues to be discovered by new fans and is still held in such high regard by genre fans, which is awesome — but it also means I am getting really old. I still remember reading that this was a thing and being shocked. I saw the original movie and thought to myself, "That will never work." Boy, was I wrong.

You can look for these in stores in January. You can even preorder them here.
