Dream Daddy's Artist Shanen Pae Draws Cover For Fence #1

We mentioned this at New York Comic Con, But now we have a better looking image.

Boom! Studios has commissioned the artists behind the hit game Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator, Shanen Pae for an FOC cover for their upcoming comic book, Fence #1, the new comic from novelist C.S. Pacat and popular web cartoonist Johanna The Mad, out on November 15th.

Fence tells the story of 16-year-old Nicholas Cox, an outsider to the competitive fencing world. Filled with raw talent but lacking proper training, he signs up for a competition that puts him head-to-head with fencing prodigy Seiji Katayama…and on the road to the elite all-boys school Kings Row. A chance at a real team and a place to belong awaits him—if he can make the cut!

"It's been amazing to see how people have responded to FENCE. I've always wanted a book like this and it's nice to see I'm not alone!" says Dafna Pleban, Editor, BOOM! Studios. "Shanen Pae's cover is a perfect encapsulation of what this book will offer."

The Fence #1 Shanen Pae variant cover is available to pre-order—along with the previously announced covers by Johanna The Mad and superstar artist Kevin Wada (Scarlet Witch)—now at your local comic shop by October 23, 2017 when final orders cut off.

Fence is the latest release from their Boom! Box imprint, home to original series such as Lumberjanes by Shannon Watters, Grace Ellis, Brooklyn A.
