Developer Digital Released The Debut Trailer For 'Pikuniku'

One of the cute reveal trailers to come out this week before PAX West included Pikuniku, a surprisingly fluffy puzzle-platformer with some dark overtones that you'll find are both awesome and displeasing at the same time. The world itself that you see int he trailer at the bottom may seem all fun and games, but the text behind a lot of what's happening paints a very different picture that we're guessing will mess with the heads of many a gamer when we see more of it down the road.

Developer Digital Released The Debut Trailer For 'Pikuniku'

It's a little hard to put into words based on the 70 seconds we're given in the trailer, but the combination of an underground lair filled with monsters and what appears to be a government conspiracy to cover up whatever's happening around you both seem to indicate there's a bigger intelligence at work and much more to the world than it seems. The game also boasts what looks like a very awesome co-op mode where you'll have to rely on each other to get your weirdly shaped torso bodied with no arms and wobbly legs to the end of the level. No details were given on a release date, only that we can expect Pikuniku for PC and Nintendo Switch sometime in 2018.
