For National Dog Day Pixar Gave A Xolo A Tour Of The Studio

In Pixar's new animated movie coming out later this year Coco our lead Miguel (voiced by Anthony Gonzalez has a dog named Dante. Dante is a Xoloitzcuintli or a Mexican Hairless Dog and Pixar brought one to the studio for National Dog Day.

The Xolo breed dates back to over 3500 years ago and were considered sacred by the Aztecs, Toltecs, Maya, and other groups. They're cool looking dogs but, as always, do not buy a dog just because you see it in a movie. Xolo's are not an easy breed to raise with some of their characteristics being very high intelligence, sensitivity, high energy, inquisitiveness, strong hunting, and social instincts. Always do your research when buying an animal no matter how much your kids might beg you. Dogs are a huge responsibility and deserve good homes with people who are going to give them the time and patience that they deserve.

Despite his family's baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector, and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel's family history.

Coco, directed Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina, stars Anthony Gonzalez, Gael García Bernal, Alanna Ubach, Benjamin Bratt, and Alanna Ubach. It will be released on November 22nd.
