Wildfire Claims 'Big Bang Theory' Johnny Galecki's House; Actor Unhurt

The Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki has lost his San Luis Obispo ranch home in a massive 1,200 acre California wildfire that continues to burn, with only 40% of the fire contained. A representative for the actor confirmed that the actor was not home at the time of the fire and was unharmed; and that no one else was harmed in the fire. Galecki hasn't yet visited the property to assess the damage but will do so once it's determined that the fire is completely contained.

Galecki released the following statement about the incident to TMZ:

"My heart goes out to all in the area who are also experiencing loss from this vicious fire, the threat of which we live with constantly, which may seem crazy to some but we do so because living in our beautiful, rural area makes it worthwhile. It's never the structures that create a community…it's the people. And if the people of Santa Margarita have taught me anything it's that, once the smoke has cleared, literally and figuratively, it's a time to reach out and rebuild. We've done it before, and will need to do it together again, and it will make our community even closer and stronger. Endless thanks to CalFire and the Sheriff's Office. I know you guys are fighting the good fight to keep us safe. So very relieved no one has been hurt."

Galecki's other credits include National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989), Without Consent (1994), Suicide Kings (1997), The Opposite of Sex (1998), Vanilla Sky (2001), Hancock (2008) and Rings (2017).
