Which Episode Should Supernatural Fans Re-Watch For Hints At Season 13?

Supernatural fans, are you missing the Winchester boys? Can't wait for the fall to see Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) return. Re-watching old episodes while you wait? Turns out that there may be one episode in particular you should watch to get a hint at something in the new season. According to TVLine's Michael Ausiello, finding the sixteenth episode of season twelve, Ladies Drink Free, might lead you to some clues about what's in store for the Winchesters and friends in season thirteen.

He points out that in a preview for the episode, executive producer Robert Singer revealed that the episode "very subtly tees up something that we're going to revisit next [season]." But when he went to executive producer Andrew Dabb to elaborate, "That's something we're probably more comfortable talking about around Comic-Con," he responded. "We have some really interesting things in the works."

What is it about the episode? The official synopsis reads: Dean and Sam let Mick Davies tag along on a case as they search for a werewolf and they run into Claire Novak, the reunion is short lived after Claire is bitten and the brothers race to find a way to help her before she turns.

The episode appeared to be a case-of-the-week type with Adam Fergus as Mick and Kathryn Netwon as Claire. Mick tags along to get some field experience and learn how to defend himself on what seems like a simple werewolf hunt. On the road they discuss how there hasn't been a werewolf in Britain since the 20s because they got rid of all of them but the boys point out that not all werewolves are bad using Garth as an example of one that doesn't hurt people. This is sort of an issue when later Mick exams a wounded victim who had been bitten by a werewolf and didn't tell the Winchesters, only to come back later and kill her as she transformed. They see the body the next day and know Mick lied or she wouldn't have healed before she was killed. Oh, and Claire is in town and investigating it too so she hooks up with them. And she gets bit by a werewolf. Dean tells her she can live her life without killing and Sam explains a new experimental treatment of plasma therapy that might kill her or cure her. In short, the treatment worked just as Claire was transforming and the boys decide to give Mick a second chance, but not a third.

That's a really watered down recap avoiding the guest characters and only focusing on recurring. Some of the things the new season could focus on here: curing werewolves, Claire out hunting alone, or the BMOL Code vs the Winchester's code. I have a feeling it's probably the last one.
