Jessica Qeller And Robert Rovner Promoted To Co-Showrunners On Supergirl

With the announcement earlier today that Ali Adler was leaving Supergirl as co-showrunner, the next logical question was who was going to step up in her place? Adler co-created the series with Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg. Adler and Kreisberg were co-showrunners for the first two seasons. Deadline is now reporting that Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner will be joining Kreisberg as season three showrunners.

Queller and Rovner joined the series halfway through season one as co-executive producers. Rovner became an executive producer at the start of season two and now Queller is being promoted as well. Queller's previous series credits include Felicity, Gilmore Girls and Gossip Girl. Rovner previously worked on Private Practice, Crossing Jordan, Dallas and American Dreams.

Adler will be staying on as an executive producer while she is developing new projects for CBS Television and consulting on Dynasty.

Supergirl will return for a third season on October 9th.
