Microsoft Looks To Get Back To Indie Gaming On Xbox One X

Part of the Microsoft presentation for the Xbox One X showcased a highlight reel of games coming to the system from independent developers. Much of what you see below has either been released on PC already, or have been teased online prior to the event, but this is the first confirmation that any of these games will be present on the XB1X.

What makes this interesting is that once the XBox One and the PS4 made their launch, Microsoft demanded more money out of smaller developers and essentially killed their own marketplace for indie developers. To which Sony was more than happy at the time to pick up and make their own, as roles reverse when the current generation of systems solidified. Now it appears Microsoft are going to dip their toes back into the smaller indie dev waters, but there's no clear indication as to whether they're still demanding more money, or if these are just the lucky few who got to play ball in time for an E3 presentation.

Only time will tell as to how series they are with the new system moving forward, but at least it's a spark of hope for those of us looking for indie titles on console rather than fishing for them on PC.
