J.K. Rowling Has Finished The Script For Fantastic Beasts 2

fantastic beats

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was kind of an odd movie. It made $814 million at the worldwide box office, but it doesn’t feel like anyone is really talking about it that much. There was the announcement that Jude Law will be playing young Dumbledore, but aside from that, we haven’t heard that much about the next movie. But author J.K. Rowling announced on twitter today that the script for the sequel is done:

The timeline would make sense, considering the movie has a rumored start date of August and a release date of next year. We don’t know much about the sequel, save for the fact that we’re likely going to learn more about Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) and Dumbledore’s relationship during World War II.

The yet-to-be-fully titled Fantastic Beasts 2 will be directed by David Yates and stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Johnny Depp, Zoë Kravitz, Jude Law, Ezra Miller, and Alison Sudol. It will be released on November 16th, 2018.
