An Unannounced Issue Of Surgeon X To Be Digitally Published Tomorrow, By Sara Kenney And Warren Pleece

SX RSC COVER copy

Next month sees the release of the Surgeon X collected graphic novel from Sara Kenney and the late John Watkiss from Image Comics, a British future sci-fi about medicine and politics.

But in addition, tomorrow Image Comics are digitally exclusively publishing a new ten-page comic, Surgeon X Special: Trial And Error for ninety-nine cents by Sara Kenney and Warren Pleece.

It's a complete surprise – to everyone but them.

This standalone story set in Bristol, England in 2037, introduces Sun Walker and asks the question, when someone you love is dying, how far would you go to save them? Rosa Scott helps her cousin, Sun, a chemical scientist with a risky plan that could kill or cure.

Available on comiXology and Kindle, the Trial and Error Special was funded by the Royal Society of Chemistry, and on the 3rd of May at 3pm BST there will also be a Facebook Live event with the Royal Society of Chemistry in Kings Cross, London with Sara Kenney, artist Warren Pleece and chemical scientist Dr Jess Healy.

The cover is up top and the first two pages are below. That's twenty cents worth, right there!
