Lunatic-Hai Wins 'Overwatch' APEX Tournament In Dramatic Fashion

We prefer to root for underdogs, but it seems like fate was just against all the strange teams that came to APEX this year. First, we saw the strange gameplay of Meta Athena make it up the ranks only to get thrown out of the semi-finals, and now we had to watch Team RunAway blow a 3-1 advantage against Lunatic-Hai who eventually won the million dollar tournament 4-3. RunAway were so unorthodox that they didn't even have a cohesive strategy going into the tournament, and that unpredictability caught many of their opponents off guard as they made their way to the finals. Meanwhile, Lunatic-Hai were one of the odds-on favorites, and while they suffered a few hiccups, they pretty much slid their way into the final round.

RunAway took a commanding 3-1 lead in the tournament and looked like they were about to become a Cinderella story team, but then lost control of the fifth round and it was all downhill from there. You can watch the complete finals below with English commentary below.
