Rumors have been circulating for a while about a possible Marvel Land expansion at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim California. Disney has already incorporated Marvel attractions at their Shanghai resort, so maybe it’s time to bring something to the U.S! According to MiceChat a Marvel Land isn’t too far off. Sources say that after Star Wars land is finished in 2019, attention will be given to updating Fantasyland. After Fantasyland is upgraded, attention will turn to California Adventure. The rumored Marvel Land would likely take over a chunk of Hollywood Land and the areas around Bugs Land. This likely wouldn’t start happening for another 3-4 years.

Currently at Disneyland Resort you can meet various Marvel heroes such as Spider-Man, Thor, and Captain America. In May guests can finally ride the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride that replaced Tower of Terror. Disney is also doing a Marvel Day At Sea themed cruise this fall. As far as Walt Disney World is concerned in Orlando, Florida, there’s currently no plans to incorporate Marvel into the parks since Universal Orlando still has an active contract with Marvel. Come on Disney, throw some money at them and take them back!
